MitSprache - Integration through language support for new immigrants in Bonn

The module consists of a seminar phase and a practical phase. The seminar phase is organised by the students together with the new immigrants. The practical phase is organised by the students. In the seminar phase, students acquire basic language didactic knowledge in the field of "German as a second language" as well as socio-cultural background knowledge on the topics of migration and flight. In cooperation with new immigrants, they work together on the topics of study, training and work and are also sensitised to dealing with different forms of discrimination. The subsequent practical phase serves to put the skills acquired in the seminar into practice in the form of voluntary work. This can take place either at the Caritasverband für die Stadt Bonn e.V. or at another charitable organisation or non-profit initiative. 6 ECTS can be recognised for successful participation in the seminar and practical phase. Alternatively, participation can be recognised as part of the Certificate of Intercultural Competence. More information can be found on the certificate page.
