Team Service Learning Uni Bonn
The Coordination Office for Service Learning has been active at the University of Bonn since 2020 and has since supported the conception, organization and implementation of service learning courses. Valuable experience has been gained with regard to challenges, opportunities and perspectives in the planning and implementation of service learning events. At the same time, a committed network of stakeholders within and outside the University of Bonn has been developed.
We, the Service Learning Team at the University of Bonn, work closely with the Sustainability Office and the faculties to offer further new and forward-looking event formats. Structure and support
Since 2023, the Coordination Office has become a part of the Bonn Center for University Teaching (BZH), which is a central operating unit under the responsibility of the Rectorate and, in cooperation with internal and external partners, offers cross-faculty advice, support and services for core tasks in the area of higher education.
This provides the Service Learning team with targeted support for central strategic issues, measures for university development associated with the expansion of Service Learning and targeted expertise in didactic advice for teaching staff. In addition, the colleagues at the BZH are also responsible for topics relevant to service learning such as digitalization and open educational resources.
