University of Bonn - Service Learning
Welcome to the Service Learning area of the University of Bonn, where we provide general information about service learning as a form of teaching and learning and provide information about current projects.
How can academic teaching and learning help address current social challenges? How can the exchange of methods, knowledge transfer and creative collaboration between the university and society be established and expanded? Service learning makes an important contribution to answering these questions. Service learning aims to combine academic findings and research with responsible practice in civil society. Through this approach, actors from different fields come together, design new approaches together and cooperatively create an environment in which their own positioning and approaches can be reflected.

StadtKlimaWandeln
Together with WILA and the city of Bonn, students are taking on the challenge of sustainable design of Bonn's green spaces.

Our students become language companions for those who recently moved to Germany. Supported by Caritas and AsA e.V..
Hiroshima Nagasaki Projekt
Students translate reports from survivors of the atomic bombs and raise awareness through an exhibition.
The Future Challenge
A course offered by students for students. By engaging in challenges, participants learn to actively meet future challenges.
Urbane Ernährungswende
Why doesn't Bonn have a food policy council? Based on this question, students develop a vision for a participatory nutritional transition.
